Freight Management:
Overseeing a cost-effective operation and the delivery of goods. We at Corfield Logistics have the experience, human resources, and knowledge to ensure the smooth journey of goods between shippers, carriers, and customers.
We ensure that products are transferred in large volumes from point A to point B by being fluent in the requirements of the industry, we manage the risk and benefits of our customers.
Tallying of Cargo:
To tally cargo is to check and keep a record of cargo arriving or being dispatched. This provides a live up to date account of the customer's goods arriving or being shipped. It becomes a check to the Shipping Line, Stevedores, and Ports.
A Tally Survey or Cargo Survey is to inspect the condition and quantity of cargo arriving or being dispatched. Our dedicated team works 24/7 to ensure accurate recording is done. Where required, supporting photos are provided, together with Tally Reports.
Linehaul Transport:
With the dedicated fleet and pool of vehicles that management has approved, we are confident that there is no job too small or too great to handle. While the routes are fixed, the goods transported can vary in volume and weight, and we are equipped to deal with them all. By use of Tautliners, Tippers, Flat-Deck Super Links, Flat-Deck Triaxles, and Abnormal Vehicles.
We can be relied upon to move your goods safely and efficiently on time.
Local Transport:
By making use of a dedicated local fleet, we reduce congestion and downtime through our National Ports and major cities.
Drivers are not waiting in huge queues and having to work extended hours to collect their loads. This is not always possible due to the nature of the cargo, cost-effectiveness, and urgency.
Often smaller loads are collected, consolidated into larger loads, and then dispatched on a single linehaul vehicle. This becomes cost-effective to the customer and is more practical.
Container Transport:
Containers (20’ TEU and 40’FEU) are transported from point A to point B, this could be for import, export, or local purposes, and these containers are re-used. These containers are generally owned by various shipping lines.
Whether the container needs to be transported from one city to the next or transported locally for unpacking, we are well equipped to service this field. Where required, we make use of Decon Units to ground the containers or to uplift them again.
Site Supervision:
Where required, we place staff on a customer’s site whereby our staff deal with the drivers and flow of the vehicles, thus making it a trouble free operation for the customer, whereby they can concentrate on their business while we do our business.
